Part comedy, part tragedy, it’s a wry study in love, manipulation and trust, as elderly cynic Don Alfonso, discusses women with young officers, Ferrando and Guglielmo. The soldiers then test their lovers' fidelity, disguised as handsome foreigners. (Sung in English)
